That is the belief that drives everything we do here at The Storyteller Academy. Today, we are thrilled to officially launch our website and open our doors to families across Ottawa!

We live in a digital world where children are often glued to screens, consuming content rather than creating it. We noticed a gap: our youth have incredible imaginations, but they often lack the confidence to express themselves and the connection to their rich cultural heritage.

We created The Storyteller Academy to change that.

More Than Just Stories

Our workshops are not just about sitting and listening. They are about doing. Whether it's our "Storyteller Tour" visiting 8 zones across Ottawa or our specialized online courses, our goal is to give children the tools they need to become leaders.

Through the art of the Hakawati (traditional storyteller), your child will learn:

• Public Speaking: How to stand tall and speak without fear.

• Creativity: How to use puppets, gestures, and voice to captivate an audience.

• Identity: Connecting with profound stories from Islamic history and Arab heritage.

• Social Skills: Making new friends in a fun, screen-free environment.

Community First

We believe that education should serve a higher purpose. That is why we are proud to be powered by Mission Relief. When you support The Storyteller Academy—whether by booking a workshop or buying a puppet from our "Souq"—you are also making a difference.

50% of all revenue from our store goes directly to support orphans through Mission Relief. Your child learns to speak up, while helping another child who needs a voice.
